Jeff Ward took over the afternoon drive-time show at KLBJ in 1997. Since then, the show's ratings have gone from 16th in the Austin market, to consistently being one of the three highest rated shows among all formats with his show often winning the coveted afternoon slot.
His show has been featured on ABC' News' "Best Of" program, he has been a panelist on the nationally syndicated program "Beyond the Beltway," and the Austin Chronicle has voted him "Best Afternoon Host" for three straight years.
During football season you can hear him after each Longhorn game as co-host of "Longhorn Game Day."
In addition to his radio program, he is a Lecturer at The University of Texas teaching Advertising and Marketing Management.
He has multiple degrees from Texas, and he has been nominated as an "Outstanding Young Texas-Ex." While a student at Texas, he was a football team captain, a member of the Athletics Director's Academic Honor Roll, he was a three-time All-Conference player, a two-time All-American, and he still holds the NCAA record for game-winning field goals with 10. |
