Kenny is probably too laid back and doesn't have enough ego to be a talk show host, but he has opinions and has fun talking to Austin listeners about a variety of issues. Kenny enjoys giving up his weekend nights so that KLBJ-AM listeners have an opportunity to offer their opinions about local issues, politics, national/international news, media and pop culture topics. He strives for in-depth, balanced discussions with listeners and guests. Newsmaker interviews are also featured. Past guests include:

- Matthew Dowd (ABC News political analyst; former chief campaign strategist for Bush-Cheney)
- Karen Hughes (former Bush presidential adviser)
- Mark McKinnon (McCain campaign media guy; former Bush-Cheney media guy)
- Mark Halperin (Time.com; former ABC News political director)
- General Montgomery Meigs (retired, U.S. Army)
- Mike Von Fremd (ABC TV News)
- Bill Sammon (White House correspondent, Washington Examiner; NY Times best-selling author)
- Paul Burka (Texas Monthly magazine)
- Will Wynn (Mayor, Austin)
- Tom Craddock (Texas Legislature, House Speaker)
- Pat Forgione (Superintendent, AISD)
- Larry Sager (President, UT Law School)
- Bruce Buchanan (Professor, UT Political Science)
- George Edwards (Professor, Texas A&M)
- Mark Cuban (owner, Dallas Mavericks)

Kenny is proud to be the only KLBJ-AM weekend talk show host with nothing to sell except good talk radio. Kenny doesn't represent any products or services, he doesn't have any websites, books, TV shows or any businesses to promote. Over the years, Kenny has been involved in many aspects of KLBJ-AM's programming. During his time on the KLBJ-AM news staff, Kenny received a Katy Award in 2001 from the Dallas Press Club for "Best Radio Interview/Talk Show." He also received Honorable Mention from the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters Association for an investigative report about the University of Texas Men's Athletics Department. Kenny has been a panelist on the nationally syndicated "Beyond the Beltway" program and participates in volunteer activities for Austin-area churches and other charitable organizations.
